Project Manager Salary: £45,000 + Vehicle Allowance Location: Lymm About the Role

Construo Recruitment is working in partnership with a specialist conservation contractor to recruit a Project Manager on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction professional to oversee refurbishment and restoration projects across historic and listed buildings throughout the UK.

The successful candidate will manage multiple live projects from pre-start through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to a high standard while maintaining excellent client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple refurbishment and conservation projects valued between £100k and £1m
• Coordinate site managers, subcontractors and specialist trades
• Liaise with architects, surveyors, conservation officers and clients
• Manage project programmes, logistics and sequencing of works
• Work closely with the Quantity Surveyor to manage project costs and variations
• Chair site meetings and provide regular project progress updates
• Monitor workmanship quality and ensure high standards are maintained
• Ensure projects comply with all health & safety requirements
• Support successful project delivery across multiple live sites

Requirements

• Proven experience managing refurbishment or conservation projects
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Good practical understanding of construction sequencing
• Full UK driving licence
• Experience within refurbishment, restoration or heritage sectors preferred

Desirable

• Experience working on listed or historic buildings
• Knowledge of traditional materials and construction methods
• SMSTS qualification
• Construction-related qualification
