Project Engineer Routing and Arrangements

As a Project Engineer Routing & Arrangements, you will take the lead in managing and delivering the engineering scope for routing, equipment integration, and systems arrangements on world-class luxury yachts. You'll guide a discipline-specific engineering team, ensuring top-tier design quality, compliance with regulations, and alignment with project timelines and budgets.

You'll serve as a technical expert and mentor, tackling complex engineering challenges and driving innovation in yacht design and manufacturability. Collaboration across disciplines and with external stakeholders is key to your success.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the engineering scope of the routing & arrangements discipline, ensuring quality, budget control, and timely delivery.

Oversee development of final designs, technical specifications, and 3D models while ensuring compliance with Class / Flag regulations and internal standards.

Act as the go-to technical expert, delivering smart solutions for complex routing and integration challenges.

Coordinate closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of systems and equipment.

Supervise and mentor (junior/senior) engineers, helping them grow while maintaining high engineering standards.

Liaise with stakeholders, including the Owner's team, to align expectations, solve technical issues, and optimise manufacturability.

Drive continuous improvement of engineering processes to enhance efficiency and innovation in yacht construction.

Your Profile

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

5+ years of experience as an engineer in shipbuilding, with proven experience managing engineering teams.

Strong knowledge of 3D AutoCAD, Teamcenter, and Cadmatic.

Experience with exterior engineering, moving equipment, equipment integration, and routing of systems.

Insight into cable and panel planning, onboard systems, and weight & budget management

Excellent communication skills, adaptable to different audiences (from shop floor to owners' representatives).

Deep technical understanding of yacht construction, production processes, and manufacturing feasibility.

Analytical mindset, high standards for quality, and a solution-driven approach.
