Acquisitions Systems Ltd is looking for a Project Engineer to join our well-established and growing engineering company.

The Role
Responsible for the successful implementation, installation and testing of instrumentation and control systems for engineering customers.
The role includes, but is not limited to, the following activities relating to ASL environmental monitoring systems:
- Development of design documentation (including drawings) in accordance with customer requirements and contracted scope of supply. Development of test protocol documentation
- Specification and ordering of parts from third party manufacturers, where necessary
- Configuration of application software, Windows operating system and associated PC hardware
- Installation and commissioning of hardware, software and electrical components at customer sites
- Execution of Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests
- Provide supervision and control of all activities for assigned projects
- Co-ordinate with customers and sub-contractors to schedule project activities
- Management of installation sub-contractors
- Operational training of customer staff
- Duties will be carried out at Pharmagraph offices and at customer sites. Customer sites may be construction sites and / or may be overseas
- Ongoing support and maintenance of operational customer systems, both by telephone and at customer premises
- Carry out technical site surveys
- The role involves travel to Glasgow and Huddersfield. Potential for travel to Canada, Australia and Norway.

Skills/Experience/Qualifications
- Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (e.g. Excel, Word & Outlook).
- Experience of Panel Wiring on Customer Sites.
- At least 2 years working experience in a service/commissioning/project engineering role.
- Excellent customer service skills are essential.
- HNC or similar in relevant engineering disciplinary would be desirable.
- Knowledge of 17th/18th Edition Wiring would be desirable
- Knowledge of SCADA packages is desirable.
- Literate in the use CAD packages such as TurboCAD would be desirable.
- Experience of EMC Gland terminations would be desirable.
- Organised, self-motivated, and comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel with occasional overnight stays.

This role is a hybrid role. The ideal candidate will be based within commuting distance to Stirling, Runcorn or West Yorkshire.
