Whitstable, Kent (Commutable from Canterbury, Herne Bay, Faversham, Sittingbourne, Margate)

Are you an experienced Project Engineer looking for a hands on role where you can directly influence manufacturing efficiency, asset management, and system implementation? This is a great opportunity to work as part of a skilled maintenance team, taking ownership of projects that improve operational performance and support long term business growth.

You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering projects from concept to completion, including the acquisition, installation, and commissioning of production assets, as well as the implementation of new software and hardware systems. Your work will ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while minimising disruption to operations.

In this role, you will act as the central link between contractors, suppliers, and internal teams, embedding best practices in project governance and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. You will also produce key technical documentation such as User Requirement Specifications (URS) and project plans to support milestone tracking and successful project delivery.

This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys problem solving, is diligent and goal driven, and thrives when taking ownership of end to end projects. You'll have the opportunity to develop your skills in project management, system integration, and infrastructure improvements within a supportive, engineering focused environment.

The Role
  • Manage projects end to end, from planning through to handover
  • Lead the acquisition, installation, and commissioning of production assets and systems
  • Deliver infrastructure and system improvements to enhance safety, efficiency, and capacity
The Candidate
  • HNC in Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, or equivalent (Degree preferred) with proven manufacturing/industrial project experience
  • Skilled in project planning tools (MS Project, Primavera) and project lifecycle management, with knowledge of health and safety frameworks (PTW, RAMS, CDM)
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem solving abilities, able to take ownership of end to end projects

We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitable candidates.
