We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our Bioresources delivery teams, to ensure our capital maintenance projects are delivered successfully from inception to completion, ensuring all required standards, regulations, commercial affordability targets, and time frames are met.

What you will be doing as our Project Engineer?

The Project Engineer will deliver planned and reactive project needs for Bioresources, driving the development of solutions with a focus on whole life cost and business risk reduction, while ensuring compliance with all standards and regulations.

This is a fast-paced, dynamic role where you can add value across the business and support your career growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver planned and reactive project needs for Bioresources.
  • Assess solutions, perform root cause analysis considering whole life cost and business risk reduction using the Risk, Opportunity, and Value process.
  • Develop solutions in line with corporate governance, technical/safety standards, and legal requirements.
  • Ensure all design, programme, cost, and CDM requirements are completed for construction handover.
  • Maintain compliance with operational site Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality requirements to ensure safe working practices.
  • Support asset and cost management in relevant corporate systems.
  • Possess appropriate engineering qualification or membership of a professional body or equivalent experience.
  • Have proven technical experience within the relevant environment.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety (H&S), and Construction Design & Management (CDM) regulations.
  • Good understanding of process safety and DSEAR regulations.
  • Experience managing a capital budget.
  • Experience in project planning, delivery, and site supervision.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify suitable solutions.
  • Proficient in IT tools like O365, and experienced with Anglian Water IT systems such as M2i, SAP, and Power BI.
  • Experience in capital delivery within the water sector, especially with directly employed staff.
  • Excellent customer management skills and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong communication skills to interpret, problem solve, and share data effectively.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Gas, CHP, Steam, and Operations teams.
  • Commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills.
