Job Description

Our client in Cork is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join its Capital Projects team. The successful candidate will support the delivery of a large portfolio of live capital projects within a highly regulated biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for managing all Civil, Structural & Architectural elements throughout the full project lifecycle, from early concept design and engineering review through tendering, construction, installation, commissioning support, and final handover. The ideal candidate will have a strong CSA project engineering background, proven experience working in GMP-regulated environments, and excellent communication skills. Cleanroom or pharmaceutical manufacturing experience is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage CSA project engineering activities across the complete project lifecycle
  • Provide technical leadership and support
  • Review and challenge engineering designs to ensure compliance with GMP requirements, site standards and regulatory expectations
  • Monitor construction activities, workmanship, and standards of finish, ensuring project expectations are achieved
  • Act as the CSA engineering representative on-site, providing "boots-on-the-ground" project support
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams
  • Ensure effective communication between internal stakeholders, contractors, and external suppliers.
Key Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' relevant experience
  • Proven experience delivering projects within a highly-regulated life sciences' environment
  • Strong Civil, Structural & Architectural engineering background with experience managing construction activities
  • Demonstrated experience managing contractors and coordinating site activities
  • Experience reviewing designs, specifications, drawings, and construction documentation
  • Strong understanding of construction standards, finishes, and quality expectations
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Cleanroom design, construction, or modification experience
  • Experience working within GMP manufacturing facilities
  • Experience supporting facility upgrades, expansions, or manufacturing improvement projects.
