Position Summary

Cereal Partners UK (CPW), is expanding its Distribution Centre to support growing operational needs. A As part of this large-scale investment, we are seeking a Project Engineer specialising in building construction project management to lead the delivery of the building scope for this critical infrastructure project. This is a unique opportunity to take a leading role in a high-impact, multi-year capital investment.

As Project Engineer - Buildings, you will be responsible for managing the design, planning, contractor selection, and on-site execution of the distribution centre extension. You'll work closely with external architects, civil/structural engineers, MEP consultants, and quantity surveyors to ensure the project is delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.

A key focus will be securing planning approvals, selecting qualified contractors, and ensuring safe, efficient construction management throughout the build.

This is a full-time, fixed-term opportunity with flexible working arrangements depending on the project phase. Full on-site presence will be required during the implementation phase.

A day in the life of a Project Engineer - Buildings

• Manage the full building and warehouse infrastructure scope of the Distribution Centre expansion
• Coordinate with external design and engineering teams (architects, civil/structural, MEP, QS)
• Lead the preparation and submission of planning applications to secure timely approvals
• Prequalify, evaluate, and select building and specialist warehouse contractors
• Oversee on-site construction and installation activities, ensuring compliance with design, safety, and quality standards
• Manage the construction and safety management team to ensure safe and efficient site operations
• Ensure effective use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) for design coordination and execution
• Oversee the design and installation of storage racking systems, forklift charging infrastructure, and other warehouse systems
• Monitor project progress, risks, and issues, and report regularly to project leadership

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline
• Proven track record managing building and warehouse infrastructure projects, ideally in logistics or industrial environments
• Proven experience in planning application processes and contractor selection
• Strong understanding of construction safety standards and site management practices
• Proven track record with warehouse fit-out including racking systems and MHE infrastructure
• Proficiency in BIM tools and workflows (e.g. Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360)
• Familiarity with UK building regulations and planning procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoDesk tools
• Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills
