Job Description

Case Administrators play a vital support role in probation teams, helping to keep the public safe. The role offers the chance to build a rewarding professional career within the Probation Service.

Starting salary will be £24,549, with annual pay progression through a Competency Based Framework (CBF). New entrants are expected to join on the minimum of the pay band. Pay band ranges are increased annually in line with Civil Service Pay guidance.

Responsibilities
  • Support probation staff to work with people on probation.
  • Ensure all processes run efficiently and that systems are maintained properly.
  • Collate and prepare probation information for case files.
  • Handle enquiries from colleagues, agencies and people on probation in a busy environment.
  • Work within a variety of settings, including Probation Delivery Units, courts and prisons.
Qualifications

We look for empathetic, patient, and organised individuals with strong communication skills. Relevant experience in administrative support or probation services is an asset.

Right to work in the UK is required. This role is not eligible for a new Skilled Worker visa after 22 July 2025, except for those who have held a Skilled Worker visa prior to that date.
