The Trusts Programme Management Office (PMO) is currently seeking a Programme Manager to join the Strategy and Partnerships Directorate.

Located at the Trust's headquarters at 2 Kings Court in Worcester, with some homeworking and travel to other Trust sites, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high standard, quality outcomes across the Trust's key programme portfolio. The role requires a motivated professional who consistently strives for excellence, fosters a culture of continuous development and supports the wider service.

The ideal candidate will have a background in managing and supporting projects with knowledge of project management tools, techniques and processes.

Applicants must be a non resident of the UK on a time limited visa that meets the Trust's sponsorship criteria; we do not provide sponsorship. All candidates must have the right to work in the UK.

Main duties of the job

The Programme Manager supports the PMO team in delivering the Trust's programme management function, monitoring multiple programmes and adhering to good practice. Duties include:

  • Identifying and logging programme associated risks and collaborating across the Trust.
  • Deputising for Senior Programme Managers when required.
  • Producing programme related reports and developing project plans.
  • Advising on programme design, ensuring compliance with the Trust's Project Management standards, and supporting programme leads in planning and executing programmes and projects.
  • Representing the PMO at events, attending project meetings and acting as the point of contact for programme management queries.
  • Reviewing and analysing project documentation, guiding wider Trust teams and maintaining robust document and data storage systems.

Person specification Experience
  • Experience and understanding of project management methodologies.
  • Evidence of producing documented outputs and presenting to diverse audiences.
  • Experience working independently and within a team.
  • Experience in a multidisciplinary/multi organisational health and care environment.
  • Experience interpreting, analysing and using information.
  • Experience producing reports and plans that are accessible to non specialists.
  • Experience establishing and operating administrative systems.
  • Experience coordinating, monitoring and supporting a range of projects.
  • Experience in a PMO environment is an advantage.
  • Experience in an NHS organisation.
  • Experience leading staff.

Qualifications
  • Degree level education or equivalent experience.
  • Project management qualification (e.g., PPMO, MSP, Prince2) or evidence of successful completion of a related course.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
Knowledge
  • Knowledge of project management tools, techniques and processes.
  • Awareness of staff management policies and processes.
  • High level of computer literacy, including spreadsheets, databases, charts, reports and data analysis.
  • Awareness of NHS finances and quality improvement.
Additional Criteria
  • Understanding that the Trust does not sponsor visas for this role and that a time limited visa must meet sponsorship criteria.
