HRIS Program Director

Our client is a major international group listed on the CAC 40, operating across numerous countries in a complex, matrixed organisational environment. As part of its HR information system transformation, the group has embarked on a global rollout of the Workday solution across all its entities.

This large-scale programme is already live in several countries and sits within a global deployment roadmap spanning approximately two more years. It is now entering a critical phase, characterised by the preparation and execution of the next country deployment waves.

In this context, the group is looking to strengthen programme oversight by hiring an experienced HRIS Programme Manager, capable of securing delivery, structuring governance, and engaging with senior stakeholders across a demanding international environment.

Before applying: this role is aimed at profiles with hands-on experience deploying Workday internationally. Technical knowledge of the solution alone is not sufficient - a demonstrated ability to challenge a major systems integrator with firmness while maintaining a constructive working relationship will be a key selection criterion. Applications without direct Workday experience in an international context will not be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end Workday deployment programme at an international scale, ensuring commitments are met in terms of timeline, quality and cost.
• Prepare and coordinate the execution of upcoming country deployment waves, ensuring alignment with the programme's overall roadmap.
• Structure and strengthen programme governance: steering committees, executive reporting, escalation management and decision arbitration.
• Manage the relationship with the implementation integrator, challenging deliverables and holding them accountable to contractual commitments.
• Identify, anticipate and manage deployment risks, defining and implementing appropriate mitigation plans.
• Coordinate internal teams (HR, IT, Finance, Change Management) and local stakeholders across the countries involved in upcoming waves.
• Ensure clear, structured and regular communication with programme sponsors and senior stakeholders, including at C-level.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of deployment methodologies and capture lessons learned across successive waves.

Candidate profile

• You have 15 to 20 years of experience in IT or HRIS project and programme management, with significant exposure to international, complex and matrixed environments.
• You have proven expertise in Workday, gained through large-scale, multi-country deployment programmes within major international groups.
• You have a track record of leading complex programmes involving multiple stakeholders spread across different countries and organisational perimeters.
• You are experienced in working with major systems integrators (Accenture, Deloitte, Capgemini, etc.) and know how to manage them with rigour while maintaining a productive working relationship.
• You have a strong command of delivery management, risk oversight and global coordination challenges inherent to large-scale HRIS transformation programmes.
• You have strong credibility with C-level stakeholders and are comfortable operating in high-pressure, high-stakes environments.
• You demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills, and know how to align diverse teams around common objectives.
• You combine firmness in operational oversight with diplomacy in relationship management, including in situations of tension or negotiation.
• You are fully bilingual in French and English
