An established and growing manufacturer of high-precision scientific instrumentation is seeking a Production Technician to join its production team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a clean, controlled manufacturing environment, contributing to the build of advanced equipment used across research, industry, and academia.
The PositionAs a Production Technician, you will support the assembly and preparation of components used in complex instrumentation. This is a hands on role requiring attention to detail, accuracy, and a commitment to quality.
You will be responsible for carrying out production tasks efficiently and safely while maintaining high standards throughout the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities- Cleaning and preparing components prior to assembly
- Building wiring looms and mechanical sub assemblies to specification
- Following standard operating procedures and engineering instructions
- Completing tasks accurately and within agreed timescales
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workspace
- Using tools and equipment correctly, reporting any issues as needed
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborating with team members to meet production targets
Essential:
- Practical, hands on approach with strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow written and technical instructions
- Good manual dexterity
- Effective time management skills
- Commitment to health, safety, and organisation in the workplace
Desirable:
- Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or assembly
- Knowledge of electrical wiring or mechanical assembly
- Experience working in a clean or controlled environment
- Understanding of quality standards and procedures
