Job Description
As a Production Support Engineer you will help build a meaningful engineering discipline, combining software and systems to develop creative engineering solutions to operations problems. Much of support and development will focus on existing systems, building infrastructure and reducing work through automation. You'll join a team of curious problem solvers with diverse set of perspectives who are thinking big and taking risks. In this environment you'll work on the relevant projects, supported by an organization that provides the support and mentorship you need to learn and grow. As engineer, you'll be focused on running better production applications and systems.What you will be responsible forAs a Production Support Engineer you will be responsible for:Onboarding applications on to Production management with the highest onboarding standardsTroubleshoot priority incidents, facilitate blameless post-mortems and ensure permanent closure of incidentsPerform analytics on previous incidents and usage patterns to better predict issues and take proactive actionsBuild and drive adoption for greater self-healing and resiliency patterns.Participate in performance tests; identify bottlenecks, opportunities for optimization and capacity demands.Engage with development team throughout the life cycle to help develop software for reliability and scale, ensuring minimal refactoring or changesDesign automated software and product upgrades, change management, and release management solutionsEducation & Preferred QualificationsB.S/M.S.Degree2 years as Production Support analystSQL Knowledge, Shell scripting, Python, AnsibleITILAbout State StreetAcross the globe, institutional investors rely on us to help them manage risk, respond to challenges, and drive performance and profitability.
