Production Supervisor (Juice)

As a Production Supervisor for our juice plant, you will ensure compliance with the production schedule, analysing work systems and methods.

Responsibilities

• Improve the production and health and safety standards, ensuring the site meets company and government regulations.
• Train production operators to handle machinery, format changes and preventive maintenance of machinery and facilities.
• Operate and control reactors, controlling the variables involved.
• Take samples according to the sampling plan, using the procedures and resources of each phase.
• Apply regulations for occupational risk prevention and environmental protection, identifying equipment-related risks.
• Fill in all the relevant documentation and process reports for process monitoring.
• Determine the characteristics of maintenance actions, justifying their need.
• Identify the elements of electronic-electrical nature in a machine, industrial equipment or automated line, describing the function they perform and their interaction with each other.
• Make electrical, mechanical and programming adjustments following instructions.
• Optimize and implement the appropriate strategies and measures, to create a continuous improvement environment and achieve production targets.
• Manage, lead, and motivate multiple skilled operators ensuring full engagement of all team members.
• Ensure daily operations are carried out in compliance with all company requirements, health and safety, food safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Review of the production line at the beginning of the productions.
• Ensure the CIP cleaning and validation.
• Apply voluntary standards of food safety management, being aware of their requirements.
• Research and develop proposals for the improvement of existing equipment and production lines, analysis, proposal and start-up of new equipment, lines, infrastructures and energy system.
• Collaborate with their manager to research improvements and new investments in machinery and facilities.
• Be part of the HACCP Team and the Food Defence Emergency Team.
• Maintenance of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).

Knowledge and Skills

• Advanced Technician Diploma or Higher Education Degree in Agriculture / Food Industry / Industrial Chemistry / Pharmaceutical / Biotechnological.
• At least 3 years experience at same position in similar company.
• Experience in food industry facilities is a must.
• Technological knowledge of machinery, SCADA and production lines.
• Well organized, committed, with an ability to priorize.
• Hands on, ability to improvise and solve problems and unforeseen events
• Juice or Aroma knowledge is a plus.
• Fluent in English is a plus.
