ID Recruitment areworking with a growing bio-medical manufacturing company in Castlebar torecruit a Production Supervisor for their evening shift. This role is a newlycreated position due to company growth.
Reporting to theProduction Manager, the Production Supervisor's main role will be to coordinatecleanroom-based production operations at our manufacturing facility inCastlebar. They will be responsible for the coordinating, training, coachingand the development of staff as well as executing the production plan, ensuringstandards in relation to Health & Safety, Quality and GMP are adhered to.
Working Hours: Monday toThursday 4.25pm to 12.35am and Friday 3.25pm to 10.35pm
Essential Duties andResponsibilities include;
- Actas the person in charge during the evening shift, overseeing allproduction operations and facility management, with full authority to makeoperational decisions and escalate critical issues to the ProductionManager.
- Responsiblefor the overall direction, coordination, training, coaching and evaluationof production operatives and team leaders to achieve work objectives andimprove performance and skills.
- Completingthe production plan by scheduling work orders, establishing priorities,monitoring progress, escalating and resolving any issues that arise.
- Developthe production team to support future business growth, including trainingneeds analysis, succession planning, and maintenance of accurate trainingrecords to ensure workforce flexibility.
- Performsupervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization'spolicies and applicable laws, including recruiting, onboarding,performance evaluation, employee development, recognition, disciplinaryaction and grievance resolution
- Workclosely with Planning to understand weekly priorities, proactivelyidentify risks to delivery, and ensure production targets and KPIs areconsistently met.
- Ensurefull compliance with Health and Safety, Quality, Line Clearance and GMPand guarantee that all products meet customer requirements
- Leadand participate in continuous improvement initiatives and collaboratecross - functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Maintenanceand Supply Chain groups in order to reduce areas of waste withinproduction.
- Proactivelyidentify operational issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implementpractical, sustainable solutions to drive continuous improvement andprevent recurrence.
- Utiliseproduction systems and software to manage production orders, lot controland inventory tracking.
- Coordinateminor routine cleaning & maintenance on production equipment withinproduction schedules.
- Performadministration duties which include; updating metrics, time and attendancesystem and holiday planning.
- Level7 qualification in Business, Management, production, Engineering orrelated discipline would be an advantage.
- Minimum3 years' experience in a Supervisory position leading a production teamwithin a manufacturing environment.
- Proventrack record in people management and demonstrated ability in leading,coaching, motivating and organizing a team.
- Abilityto solve problems as they arise and naturally strive for continuousimprovement.
- Strongcommunicator with well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.With the ability to work and collaborate effectively with cross-functionalgroups.
- Apersonal commitment to produce the highest quality product possible isessential.
- Proficientcomputer skills are essential with ability to quickly learn customizedproduction software systems quickly.
- Abilityto read documents and interpret drawings, specifications, safety rules andoperating instructions.
