PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £32,900 - £42,750 per annum depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

Purpose of the RoleJoin BBC Wales at the forefront of digital innovation as a Production Specialist (Streaming). You'll play a key role in developing and delivering our new live streaming strategy - shaping how audiences experience BBC Wales content online. This is your chance to help define new production workflows and bring streamed content to life in studio and on location across Wales, helping to define new ways of working, creating and streamlining production workflows, and to deliver first class content. Streaming involves different processes compared to our linear output, drawing on both editorial and operational skills. As such, a new approach needs to be developed - one that functions differently from a TV gallery or radio studio.

Your Key Responsibilities and Impact- Collaborate on the design, testing and rollout of new live streaming workflows across BBC Wales.
- Deliver high-quality streamed content from studios and on location, ensuring editorial and technical excellence.
- Collaborate with Editorial, Operations, and Technology teams to create smooth and efficient streaming workflows and processes.
- Liaise with the BBC Streaming Control Centre and other teams to coordinate live streams.
- Identify opportunities to innovate, simplify, and enhance production methods to meet changing audience needs.
- Proven experience in live production, broadcasting, or streaming environments
- Strong understanding of production workflows and technical systems used in content delivery.
- Ability to problem solve under pressure and adapt quickly to new tools and technologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.
- A genuine passion for new media and how audiences engage with digital content.
- Hands on experience with live streaming platforms, encoding software, or IP-based production tools.
- Familiarity with BBC systems and production environments.
- Experience working in a fast paced editorial or live news setting.
- Understanding of networked media and cloud based workflows.
- A track record of contributing to process improvements or innovation projects.
