Production Shift Manager

A real success story in the region and number one in their sector, our client is looking to recruit an experienced Production Shift Manager. This is a management position that will see you taking full responsibility for the Factory and a team of circa 30 during your shift. The business operates 3 shifts over 5 days as a rule but, when necessary, the factory will operate over 7 days. Responsibilities will include:

• Accountable for all employees' health and safety performance, fostering a compliant and safe working environment
• Ensure all departments are working to production plans and targets, monitoring this on a daily basis
• Supervising all activities and planning and delegating to the workforce
• Management of shift cover and temporary labour, conduct regular appraisals and buzz meetings
• Drive shift performance and team engagement to improve and maximise production standards

This is a role that will suit someone with a can-do attitude and with strong people management skills. You need to have experience of working in a fast-paced production environment with good problem-solving skills.
