Job PurposeThe Production Scheduler is responsible for developing and maintaining an accurate, achievable production plan that meets customer demand while maximising efficiency and ensuring orders are delivered on time in full. Working closely with the Board, Customer Service, Production, and Logistics teams, the role ensures material availability, resolves shortages, and maintains accurate delivery commitments. It also identifies risks and drives effective solutions to ensure the smooth execution of the production plan.
Job Responsibilities/Key accountabilities- Prepare, manage, and adjust short term schedules to optimise capacity, material availability, and service performance
- Coordinate material flow to ensure timely supply across all manufacturing stages in line with customer demand
- Integrate external/outsourced processes into the production plan to maintain delivery timelines
- Monitor schedule adherence, proactively identifying risks and implementing corrective actions to minimise disruption
- Escalate and communicate delivery risks, shortages, or constraints to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner
- Collaborate closely with cross functional teams through daily meetings to align priorities and ensure clear communication
- Support work order processing and ensure accurate job bag documentation
- Support the implementation and ongoing optimisation of the new ERP system
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Previous experience in a Production Scheduling role is desirable but not essential
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to respond to changing priorities and take on additional responsibilities to meet business needs
