Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Production Scheduler to join our busy Planning team, reporting to the Group Procurement Manager. This role will be based at our Ellesmere Port site.

Main Purpose of the Role

The main purpose of the role is to effectively manage the flow of work through the factory, ensuring capacity requirements are clear, materials are available and customer demands are met.

Key Responsibilities

To manage a portfolio of make to order and make to stock items
To oversee the creation of works orders through the MRP process
To purchase raw materials to maintain stock levels or to meet the production schedule
To monitor stock levels and shortages and expedite deliveries where required
To analyse material usage and update ERP reorder levels and batch sizes
To liaise with the Design team regarding product changes and closely manage stock levels of the items affected
To liaise with the Sales team regarding priorities and shortages
To communicate with Production daily regarding schedules, priorities and material availability
To assist with the development of the ERP system
To provide regular reports covering capacity, output, inventory and spend

Qualifications

Degree educated

Experience:

3 years in a similar role, working in a fast paced, manufacturing environment, dealing with a large number of SKUs and suppliers.
Production or Capacity Planning, data analysis roles
