Production Scheduler - Vitacress Herbs

Sunday - Thursday, 05:30-14:30

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum

We're looking for two organised, proactive Production Schedulers to join our Herbs team in Ructon. In this fast paced production environment, you'll play a crucial role in coordinating the movement of products through the entire production cycle, ensuring we meet customer delivery expectations and internal targets.

What You'll Do

• Schedule and coordinate production lines, considering constraints such as material availability, labor, and engineering requirements.
• Plan and issue shop orders to ensure production meets all deadlines.
• Work with internal teams to forecast and plan production.
• Ensure labor and materials are utilized in the most cost effective way.

️ Respond Quickly to Production Issues

• Identify risks early and take action to minimize schedule disruption.
• Provide realistic and timely solutions to production challenges.
• Support and maintain the OEE reporting process.
• Lead follow up actions relating to schedule attainment.

Use ERP/MRP Systems to Schedule & Report

• Use IFS (MRP) and internal IT systems to maintain accurate production data.
• Process and adjust production orders, communicating any variances.
• Ensure all processes meet agreed standards and contribute to continuous improvements.

Support S&OP and Cross Functional Teams

• Provide operational support to the S&OP team and wider business.
• Troubleshoot issues and communicate measured, practical solutions.
• Undertake ad hoc duties when required.

What We're Looking For Experience & Skills

• Strong IT skills; in-depth knowledge of ERP/MRP systems preferred.
• Experience in problem solving within a production or supply chain environment.
• Understanding of raw materials, production processes, and quality control.
• Knowledge of supply chain processes and their interdependencies.
• Experience in food manufacturing or similar environment is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Courses or training that demonstrate strong analytical skills.

Working Conditions

• Office-based with regular access to chilled factory areas.
• PPE available; ear protection mandatory in some areas.
• Some lifting (up to 25kg).
• All employees must support and contribute to a safe working environment.
