Job Description

Castle Employment Group is working with a well-established manufacturer in North Yorkshireto recruit a Quality Inspector/Production Quality Engineer to join our client's well-established machine shop team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to play a key role in ensuring product quality and safety in a fast-paced, process-driven environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Carry out first-off, batch, final, and roaming inspections.

  • Interpret and work with technical drawings and measurement equipment.

  • Identify non-conformances, recommend corrective actions, and support problem-solving activities.

  • Collaborate with the Engineering department to drive quality improvements.

  • Provide training and support to colleagues on quality standards and procedures.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across production.

  • Ensure compliance with health & safety requirements relevant to your role.



Who We're Looking For:
  • Previous experience in a quality or inspection role within manufacturing (machine shop experience advantageous).

  • The ability to read and interpret engineering/technical drawings.

  • A proactive mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Confidence in working cross-functionally and suggesting improvements.

  • Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise across departments.

  • A commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality standards.
