Job Description
The successful candidate will provide Permitting and Operational support to production and provides oversight for works safety. The minimum qualification is trade level 6 qualification with relevant experience. A working knowledge of preparing and issuing permits is a distinct advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Work Permitter on projects, Maintenance and Operation activities.
- Own the planning and scheduling of permitting activities, in collaboration with business areas.
- Issue permits in support of maintenance, projects, service vendors and other operations in a safe manner through communication with all interested parties.
- Input into Safety Risk Assessments to support Project Execution as required.
- Provide the liaison activity between Engineering support and sub-contractors to solve technical challenges safely.
- Ensure all work is completed in a safe and compliant manner and is documented appropriately.
- Support Site management in the planning and coordination of high-profile site events (Audits and Corporate visitors).
- Generate lock-out tag-out instructions for equipment that do not have ESI's (Equipment specific instructions)
- Periodically review and update ESI's and CSE's (Confined Space Entries)
- Work closely with SME's to ensure continued uninterrupted supply during permitting activities.
- Provide training and guidance on permitting to vendors and craft, where applicable, especially to those who are new or infrequently on site.
