Job Description

The Production Operator is responsible for running the production lines and producing finished goods, bespoke mixes, and internal products to the required specifications.

Responsibilities
  • Operate production lines at optimum speed and maintain product quality.
  • Assist in assembly and packing of various goods.
  • Coordinate with production planners and other operators to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain clean and tidy production areas, following the clean-as-you-go policy.
  • Report breaches of EDME procedures, hazards, near misses and unsafe conditions promptly.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist supervisors and managers with cleaning tasks around the site as required.
  • Ensure all required training is carried out and documented.
  • Carry out food safety quality checks in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate commitment to equal opportunities, diversity and customer care.
  • Continuously assess personal performance and knowledge for improvement.
  • Remain updated on health and safety directives and good practice.

Qualifications, skills & experience
  • Essential: Food manufacturing knowledge, communication skills, ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment, ability to work with or without supervision.
  • Desirable: Reach truck licence, flexible approach to working hours, computer skills, manual handling training.
