Production Operator

We are currently looking to recruit a Picking / Packing Operator to join our Manufacturing team at Balmoral Tanks Ltd. Working as part of a two person team, you will play a key role in ensuring customer orders are accurately picked, packed, inspected, labelled and prepared for despatch to our sites worldwide.

This is a hands on role that requires excellent attention to detail, a strong focus on quality, and a commitment to safety and teamwork in a fast paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately pick and pack customer orders in line with Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Final inspection of pre packed items to ensure accuracy and conformity
• Maintain 100% accuracy in picking, packing, wrapping and labelling to company standards
• Prepare goods and paperwork for despatch, supporting on time in full (OTIF) targets
• Operate forklifts, pump trucks and powered pallet trucks (where trained)
• Load outbound consignments when required
• Maintain live and accurate record keeping throughout the process
• Carry out general warehouse duties and participate in stock checks
• Work to strict deadlines, KPIs and productivity targets
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment in line with 5S standards
• Adhere to all health, safety and company policies at all times
• Work collaboratively as part of the wider team, demonstrating company core values

What we're looking for

Essential:

• Good standard of education with numeracy and literacy skills
• Good communication skills
• High attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to safety, quality and "Right First Time" working

Desirable:

• Forklift Truck (FLT) licence
• Previous warehouse or picking/packing experience
