Position: Production Operator

Location: Hatfield

Proactive are currently recruiting for a Production Operator in Hatfield to start work immediately.

This is a permanent position and an exciting opportunity to work for a market leading manufacturing company offering ample opportunity for progression and development.

As a Production Operator, you'll be a core part of the manufacturing team, supporting production through general assembly, basic wiring, picking, packing, reeling, palletising, cutting, checking picking lists, printing labels and using the company's ERP system to manage inventory.

Responsibilities

• General assembly and basic wiring duties
• Picking, packing, reeling, palletising and cutting materials
• Checking picking lists, printing labels and maintaining stock accuracy
• Using the company ERP system to check and manage inventory
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and diagrams
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and process efficiencies
• Working across different sections to meet scheduled production requirements
• Collaborating with co-workers and managers to meet deadlines and objectives

Personal Skills

• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail
• Driven with a desire to learn and succeed, completing tasks within required timescales
• Background in picking, packing, warehouse operations or stock checking
• Competent IT skills and experience using computer systems for inventory control
• Ability to read and understand picking lists, stock lists and identify parts and lot numbers
