Production Operative

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Production / Process Operative to join a busy manufacturing operation based in Wirral.
Working as part of the production team, you will be responsible for operating process equipment, monitoring production activity and ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
This is a hands on role suited to someone with previous experience within a manufacturing, production or process environment.
Key Responsibilities- Operate production and process equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow production schedules, operating procedures and work instructions.
- Monitor machinery and production processes to ensure consistent output.
- Carry out basic machine and process adjustments where required.
- Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining quality standards.
- Carry out routine quality checks and accurately record results.
- Identify and report production, process or quality issues.
- Escalate equipment faults or breakdowns to the Team Leader or Supervisor.
- Complete production paperwork and process documentation accurately.
- Handle raw materials and finished products safely.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping within the production area.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
- Support changeovers, cleaning and basic equipment checks.
- Work closely with Team Leaders, Supervisors, Quality and Maintenance teams.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, quality and productivity.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, production or process environment.
- Experience operating production machinery or process equipment.
- A good understanding of health and safety within an industrial environment.
- The ability to follow standard operating procedures and written instructions.
- Good attention to detail and awareness of quality standards.
- A practical, hands on approach to work.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to work reliably within a fast paced production environment.
Experience within materials manufacturing, plastics, food, FMCG, industrial manufacturing or a similar process-driven environment would be advantageous.
