Production Operative

We are currently seeking hardworking and reliable Production Operatives for a UK manufacturer of cement based materials, who is looking for production staff to complete roles within the factory and warehouse areas. You will play a key role in the day to day production operations, always ensuring quality and efficiency. This role involves regular manual handling and heavy lifting, so the applicant must be physically fit. Able multitask as various tasks are required to be completed.

The role involves varying shifts depending on the business requirements and is based on an 8 hour shift as standard, with overtime opportunities. Shifts between the hours of 6 am and 10 pm will be required at certain times.

• Operating and assisting with equipment on the production lines.
• Assembly and packaging of products as per specifications.

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be physically fit as part of the role is manually moving 20-25kg sacks.
• Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently within a team.
• Good communication skills and positive attitude.
• Counterbalance and reach truck experience would be an advantage.
• Ability to work as part of a team but also to work independently on occasions.
• Willing to work in a fast paced industrial environment.
• Understanding of written and spoken English.
