Job DescriptionWeare working alongside our client a well established global leader in theresearch, development and manufacturing of complex gas sensing products andsystems in the search for Experienced Production Operators to join them on apermanent basis.
Youwill work 39 hours per week starting around 8am finishing around 4.30pm with anearlier finish on a Friday.
Salary £25,500
Job PurposeTheProduction Operative will report to the Manufacturing Manager, ensuring a widerange of electronic assemblies and sensors are manufactured to a high standardin line with work instructions and the production schedule. An internal andexternal customer focus will help achieve departmental KPIs and ensure a greatcustomer experience.
Operational Responsibilities- Responsible for manufacturing a wide range ofgasdetection products, with daily use of small hand tools, soldering irons,test gas and computer software.
- Operate gases, tools, and mechanical equipment safelyaccording to training and company guidelines.
- Accurately follow work instructions to ensureconsistent manufacturing, highlighting areas for improvement to theProduction Engineering Team.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environmentin line with HSE regulations.
- Ensure that products are manufactured to high qualitystandards.
Thislist is not intended to be exhaustive, and it is likely that duties may bealtered from time to time in the light of changing circumstances and afterconsultation with the post holder.
Allstaff are expected to actively participate in annual reviews and setobjectives/goals in conjunction with their manager. Performance will bemonitored against set objectives/goals.
RequirementsSkills/Experience:
Required
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- High attention to detail and commitment to qualitystandards.
- Ability to work flexibly across multiple tasks and adaptto changing priorities.
- Hands-on experience in assembly, testing, or repair ofelectronic/mechanical products.
- Experience in meeting production targets.
- Familiarity with standard operating procedures.
- Trained to, or understanding of IPC J-STD-001.
- Trained to, or understanding of IPC-610 & 620.
- Involvement in 5S and Kaizen activities.
