Job Description
Production Operative - Grade 2 
Carryduff (Outside of Belfast City Centre)
Monday-Thursday, 7:00am-4:45pm (4 day week!)
Reporting to: Site Lead

- Operate the machinery to produce concrete rings and civils products to required standards
- Learn and apply full operational knowledge of the production process
- Carry out safe and accurate mould changes
- Keep machinery clean and well maintained
- Safely move products using forklifts, telehandlers, cranes (training provided)
- Maintain excellent housekeeping and follow all H&S procedures
- Monitor machine performance and promptly report any mechanical issues or irregularities to the Team Leader or Supervisor
- Gain comprehensive operational knowledge of the production process and demonstrate proficiency in operating machinery
- Carry out mould changes on production equipment in accordance with company procedures, ensuring all safety protocols are followed
- Address faults as they arise, escalating significant issues to appropriate personnel and following all safety and environmental protocols
- Perform regular cleaning of equipment and machinery to maintain optimal performance and prevent buildup of dust or product residue
- Safely move concrete products using plant machinery (e.g. Forklifts, telehandlers, cranes - training will be provided)
- Ensure that workplace cleanliness is maintained and adhere strictly to all health and safety protocols
- Proactively seek and suggest ideas for improvement-whether related to health and safety, business processes, or cost saving measures-and report them as a 'Good Catch'
- Any other duties as required by management that are within your capability. (You will also be required to perform Grade 1 tasks, such as quality control, strapping, and wrapping, whenever needed)
- Be willing to undertake training and work flexibly as needed
- Follow instructions and always adhere to health and safety protocols
- Show willingness to learn new tasks and operate machinery with guidance
- Pay close attention to detail in all aspects of the role, particularly to prevent cross contamination and ensure product excellence
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
- Experience in a similar role
- A current forklift license
- Situation evaluation and analysis
- Ability to identify and anticipate needs
- Forklift handling
