Production Manager - TM Vacancy Details

Tennants UK are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Production Manager to oversee daily operations within our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating production activities, managing staff, and ensuring safety and quality standards are maintained. This role requires strong leadership skills and familiarity with manufacturing processes to optimize efficiency and productivity across our Traffic Management Division.

Main Duties:
  • Supervise and coordinate all aspects of production processes within the manufacturing facility
  • Production Planning & Order Quotations
  • Oversee manufacturing operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards
  • Manage inventory levels, including warehouse organisation and material handling for monthly stocktakes
  • Operate and oversee the use of forklifts, power tools, hand tools, and other machinery essential for production tasks
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase output
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate staff members to maintain a motivated and skilled workforce
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly
  • Maintain detailed records of production metrics, safety incidents, and equipment maintenance by setting & monitoring KPI's
  • Quality control in accordance with ISO 9001
  • Compliance with British Standards
  • Security of Premises
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in manufacturing or factory settings, with a strong understanding of operations
  • Prior experience managing a team within a manufacturing environment is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in industrial settings
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication skills for coordinating with staff and other departments
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing production needs and solve problems efficiently
  • Relevant certifications in forklift operation is desirable
