Production Manager

Overview

We are currently recruiting for an experienced production manager on behalf of a well established company based in Burntwood. This role is a permanent position with immediate starts available. You will be required to work 40 hours per week Monday - Friday. 33 days holiday (including bank holidays).

Responsibilities

• Manage daily production activities to ensure that production targets are met while maintaining quality standards.
• Implement and monitor process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of materials and components.
• Oversee quality control measures to guarantee that products meet specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Utilise ERP systems and SAP for effective inventory management and production planning.
• Lead a team of production staff, providing training and support to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular assessments of production processes and equipment, ensuring mechanical knowledge is applied effectively.
• Prepare reports on production performance, identifying areas for improvement and proposing solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a production management role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain principles and practices.
• Familiarity with SAP and other ERP systems is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability in process improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six Sigma.
• Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
• Experience with quality control processes and standards in manufacturing.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, ensuring high standards are maintained throughout the production process.
