Production Manager

As Production Manager, you'll play an essential role at The Merry Beggars, coordinating our production schedules, working with our actors, directors, and producers, and overseeing every stage of our production process. We'll rely on you to ensure our award-winning scripts come to life in the studio in a way that moves our audience's hearts.
This role is for an extremely well-organized, detail-oriented, and mission-aligned individual with a proven track record of team collaboration, clear thinking and communication, and efficient project management of creative projects, particularly for audio productions. TMB's Production Manager oversees mission-critical projects and develops project roadmaps with the creative and post-production teams, holding each department accountable to deadlines. Experience working in entertainment, media, or theatre is preferred, along with experience in project management.
Because storytelling is at the heart of everything we do, you'll learn how to run recording sessions and how to assist directors in getting the best out of actors. You'll also work closely with our Creative Producer, Script Producer, Casting Department, board operators, and dialect coaches, to ensure that our productions meet or exceed our standards of quality. You'll help us develop and improve those standards, helping The Merry Beggars move towards its goal of becoming the world's producer of family audio entertainment.
Responsibilities- Build and manage highly detailed production systems and schedules involving all stages of production development
- Schedule, coordinate, and run rehearsals and recording sessions for dozens of concurrent productions
- Lead and manage actors, director, and dialect coach throughout production process, from casting to payment processing
- Manage recording process and studio environment; mark scripts and record take numbers during recording sessions
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during recording
- Ensure audio assets meet TMB artistic standards and brand expectations
- Coordinate The Saints graphics process, writing graphic briefs and working with designers to achieve 1 weekly series graphic
- Write The Saints series ratings every week
- Manage contractor invoicing
- Ensure on-schedule series release each week; anticipate production delays and adjust schedule accordingly
- Achieve production results within established budget
- Practicing Catholic, faithful to the Church's magisterium
- Solid understanding of Catholic teaching, history and culture
- Interest and knowledge of art, music, literature a plus
- Shares Core Values and creative vision of The Merry Beggars
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Ability and willingness to learn new software (Adobe Creative Suite, ArcStudio, ClickUp, Cloudflare, ActiveCampaign, Webflow)
- Self-driven; able to understand and apply initiative to production and mission goals without guidance or supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to the changing needs of production
- Basic knowledge of audio hardware an asset
- Skill and/or experience copywriting an asset
- Familiarity with event planning/management an asset
- Ability to lift 40 pounds
- Bachelor's degree in theatre, film, or related fields and/or 2+ years experience in a professional production environment (entertainment, film, television, radio, theatre)
This is a Full Time position with competitive full time pay and benefits, including a retirement match, generous PTO and health care.
Hours per Week: 40 hours per week
Pay: $50K - $65K, commensurate with experience and skill level
