Bristol CADCAM is part of the ALS group and a leader in advanced dental manufacturing, producing precision milled restorations and components for dental professionals across the UK. We specialise in the 3D printing, wet milling, dry milling, metal milling, and SLM (Selective Laser Melting) processes.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Manager to oversee our busy Dental Milling Centre, ensuring smooth, efficient, and high quality production operations with exceptional levels of customer focused service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily production activities across all milling and 3D printing operations in a medium scale dental manufacturing environment.
  • Monitor production workflows and allocate resources based on daily orders to meet production targets and tight turnaround times.
  • Supervise and develop a multidisciplinary production team, promoting a culture of quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain excellent customer support and communication across all relevant teams.
  • Supervise and monitor quality control activities to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee machine maintenance schedules, tool management, and calibration routines.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 13485 and other relevant quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the design, logistics, and customer service teams to maintain seamless order processing and on time delivery.
  • Identify process bottlenecks and report them to the leadership team for action.
  • Maintain accurate production data, reports, and KPIs for management review.
  • Support new product introductions and technical trials in coordination with the leadership team.
Requirements
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a track record of building high performing teams.
  • Proven experience managing precision digital dental or comparable small to medium scale manufacturing operations.
  • Organisational and planning abilities.
  • Knowledge of dental or similar CAM workflows; experience with dental design software is advantageous.
  • Hands on understanding of wet, dry, metal, or SLM milling processes; proficiency in all areas is not required, and training will be provided to strengthen knowledge in any gaps.
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485 or other regulated quality systems is advantageous.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours or shifts as required by production demands.
