The successful Production Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Supporting new product introduction by planning manufacturing methods and ensuring smooth handover from design to production.

  • Delivering technical training to upskill operators and embed best practices on the shopfloor.

  • Driving continuous improvement projects using lean methodologies to reduce waste and boost output.

  • Liaising with internal teams (engineering, production, logistics, and project management) to support smooth production flow.

  • Supporting cost estimates, production planning, and future capacity forecasting.

  • Offering engineering input into designs, ensuring components are manufacturable, safe, and efficient to assemble.

To be considered for this Production Engineer role, you'll need:

  • A degree or HND in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Production Engineering (or similar).

  • At least 5 years' experience within a manufacturing or engineering setting.

  • Strong working knowledge of manufacturing techniques such as machining, welding, anodising, NDT, and assembly methods.

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD (2D & 3D) and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement (Kaizen, 5S, etc.).

  • Excellent communication skills and confidence working across departments and with suppliers.

  • A methodical approach to documentation and BOM creation, with a good eye for detail.

  • A safety-first mindset and familiarity with ISO 9001 and QHSE procedures.

  • Desirable: Experience with structural analysis, hydraulics, or mechanisms is a bonus, as is the ability to consider costings, profitability, and commercial impact in engineering decisions.

This is a standout opportunity for a Production Engineer who thrives in a role that blends technical design, process development, and shopfloor collaboration. You'll be joining a stable, respected employer with global reach and a commitment to innovation, quality, and employee wellbeing.
