Production Electrical Test Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Test Engineer to join our Operations team in an established family-owned business in Leeds. Wilson Power Solutions are a leading manufacturer and supplier of electrical power distribution equipment and pioneers of ultimate low loss amorphous transformer technology. Reporting to the Senior Testing Engineer; key responsibilities will be the testing, repair and troubleshooting across the range of company products both inhouse and on site.

• In-house testing of transformers/marshalling enclosures/control panels
• Testing of LV cabinets and control devices
• Complete protection modifications

Skills, knowledge & experience

• Minimum of 5 years testing experience within an electrical engineering company
• Experience of testing and commissioning transformers essential.
• Hold electrical qualifications and have knowledge of electrical regulations is essential
• The ability to understand electrical schematic drawings is essential
• Clear understanding of Health & Safety & Risk Assessment policies and responsibility
• Have good written and verbal communication skills
• Experience of working collaboratively with other operations personnel
• Ideally experience of working within a continuous improvement environment
• Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach
• Flexibility to assist in other departments when required

Salary negotiable dependent on experience

25 days holiday per year plus 8 bank holidays
