Job Description: Responsibilities- Production Support: Supporting production activities, following up on resolutions, suggesting improvements, and ensuring any production disruptions are addressed efficiently. Work with Production Manager, Engineering, and Quality to improve/support existing and new processes.
- Writing SOIs, engaging in continuous improvement activities, and specifying production tooling.
- Being knowledgeable of key aspects of the coiling machine and the VERSE and Magnet build/test/calibration processes as a backup resource to the Production Setter/Technicians.
- Maintain the facilities database, ensuring service inspections and maintenance are up to date and compliant with current legislation. Liaise with contractors for planned servicing, repairs, and planning of major facilities works/improvements. Review third-party RAMS/Method Statements prior to works commencing. Issue Permit to Work for contractors.
- Health & Safety Support: Creating and reviewing/updating Risk Assessments, assisting with compliance checks, and supporting a safe working environment.
- Proven experience in leading manufacturing processes, including operational excellence (Lean) and continuous improvement.
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems-creating and following work orders, BOMs, and standard time studies.
- Engineering knowledge.
- Experience in creating, reviewing, and controlling Risk Assessments.
- Hands-on and "can do" attitude, with flexibility regarding working hours (occasional weekends to support contractor access).
- Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving.
- Ability to work autonomously but also effectively within a team environment. Strong communication skills.
- Recognized engineering qualification.
- Recognized health & safety qualification.
