• Support the product design manager and the production manager
• Aid in bespoke product design (extrusions, sheet metal, plastics)
• Aid in testing new products (photometry and thermal)
• Produce engineering drawings
• Use various CAD packages to programme CNC machines
• Be responsible for tooling, consumables, and machinery maintenance
• Research products, competitors, and components
• Support production in assembling products and running machines

Engineering Manufacturing Technician Level 4 (Higher National Certificate) Apprenticeship Standard:

• The qualification will be delivered on a day release basis - one day per week at Wigan & Leigh College, with the rest of the week in the workplace
• The apprentice will attend Wigan & Leigh College's Pagefield Campus at Walkden Ave, Wigan WN1 2JH
