We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the secondment role of Wealth Product Risk Manager - UK Wealth & Insurance.
The role is a key member of the Wealth & Insurance Product Risk team and is in place to support the Head of Wealth, Insurance & Private Bank Product Risk by ensuring the risk and compliance aspects of the UK Wealth & Insurance is effectively supported - balancing customer, commercial and regulatory requirements.

In this role you will:
- Provide ongoing 1st Line of Defence Risk support of all Product Governance documentation to ensure design and delivery of our customer products and services continue to meet the different needs of our customers, in our target market, remain competitive and understandable, and deliver fair value to our customers.
- Support the Wealth Management business teams in the identification and management of risks in all aspects of Wealth & Insurance UK business, including the way we identify customer needs; proposition and product design; recommend solutions and match proposition and products to customer needs; the way we monitor Customer Outcomes; the training and tools we provide our sales staff and manage the customer relationship post sale.
- Work with the Wealth Management business teams in the interpretation and understanding of Policy requirements, relevant to the Wealth Management & Insurance business, to ensure effective implementation and/or reporting of any global requirements and the HSBC Risk Framework and advising the Wealth business appropriately to ensure compliance.
- Act as a 1st Line of Defence Risk Partner in the understanding of the Regulatory Change activities that will impact the Wealth Management business and identify and elevate risks arising as a result.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Proven track record within a risk management environment either in the first or second line of defence
- Demonstrable experience within a Wealth Management context.
- A proven ability to gain an understanding of customers' needs and delivering excellent customer service.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences.
