What we need

Due to a period of sustained growth, we are looking to recruit a Product Owner to join our Planning Portal Team.

Reporting to the Product Lead and working within Solutions Team, the Product Owner will be primarily responsible for refining and delivering product features to high quality.

Working closely with the Scrum team, business stakeholders and customers, the Product Owner will be the driving force behind developing product solutions; accountable for bringing in key insights from user research, quantitative data, and getting the right people in the room to collaboratively develop the right solutions to customer and business needs in the right way.

What you will be doing

  • Product Vision - Define and communicate product vision and strategy to get buy in from relevant stakeholders. Be a product visionary and lead the Scrum team to deliver excellent products.

Motivate and challenge the team to be creative, innovative and deliver timely and high-quality results.

  • Product Roadmap and Continuous Improvement -Proactively work on evaluating feature ideas and enhancements to form a prioritised roadmap for your product vertical. Collaborate with Customer Success, Sales, User Research and Technical teams to gather and analyse data, in the form of qualitative user feedback and interviews, and quantitative product metrics and market research.
  • New product Development - Lead Product Discovery on new features and products - from evaluating concepts and ideas for business and technical viability, to Ideation and producing a high level storymap of the optimal solution.
  • Backlog Management and Prioritisation- Create, prioritise, and manage the product backlog to ensure timely delivery of features. Ensure Scrum teams always have a minimum of two sprints worth of work prepared. Produce high quality written features and user stories with detailed Acceptance Criteria and be accountable for stories meeting the Definition of Ready.
  • Release Planning and Product Launch: With the support of Project managers and Scrum Masters, track progress of delivery and timeline estimates, actively managing risks and cross team dependencies. Collaborate with other departments like Sales and Marketing to successfully launch.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends and market developments to identify opportunities for product improvements and innovations.
  • User Centricity - Be a champion of user-centred products by actively engaging with customers, analysing support desk feedback, and participate in focus groups and interviews the User Research team, to ensure the product meets customer needs.
  • Metrics and KPIs: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of the product.

What we are looking for

This is an exciting role and an opportunity to develop your skills and make your mark in a growing team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of leading products from Discovery to Launch in both b2c and b2b environments. Analytical with a strong product sense, you can articulate the product's purpose, goals, and the value it will deliver to users.

You are an excellent communicator and are comfortable leading and facilitating workshops with internal and external stakeholders.

Product Owners often need to lead and influence without direct authority over teams. The ideal candidate will foster a collaborative environment, empowering Design, Architect and Scrum teams to produce effective solutions by providing a clear compelling vision and direction of the product.
