Oxford Instruments, Magnetic Resonance unit, is seeking a candidate for a position of Product Manager.

Tubney Woods, Abingdon, Oxfordshire

Responsibilities

You will have a keen awareness of the market; with special knowledge of technology and industry trade groups. A sound appreciation of current and future customer requirements is essential. You will be required to manage a range of products from concept to withdrawal including writing promotional material, training sales teams and evaluating market trends. You would contribute to recommending the strategic direction for a range of products and it will be important to build long term relationships placing customer satisfaction as the highest priority.

Technical Skills

You will have the ability to articulate technical or complex issues clearly and succinctly, whilst applying professional/technical skills to meet objectives. Appropriate science degree/discipline is essential. You will be expected to maintain professional awareness of product management best practice. Commercially, you will be required to ensure technical developments and other activities are clearly linked to commercial and financial outcomes.

Personal Skills

You will have the skill to set clear standards for performance, initiating actions to develop better ways of working. You will be required to communicate, delegate and motivate effectively while planning your own time to maximum effect. Team working skills are essential in this role, to ensure people are integrated and where appropriate take a cross functional approach to decision making.
