Product Manager - Construction Equipment

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Product Manager for Construction Industries to join our team. This pivotal role serves as the main point of contact for value propositions, training, support, coaching, and commercial go-to-market strategies related to our machine portfolio. The Product Manager will lead the product portfolio marketing mix and sales execution for a range of Caterpillar Construction equipment, collaborating closely with Caterpillar Machine Product Managers, Finning Sales Teams, Sales Managers, Senior Leaders, Marketing, Sales Enablement, and other departments to drive focus, generate opportunities, and maximize sales.
Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership: Develop and execute annual business plans to maximize sales revenue, ensuring profitability and growth. Manage and strategically grow the Caterpillar Construction new equipment portfolio.
Technology and Worktool growth: Develop on-board technology support, training, coaching, and expertise. Collaborate to create innovative industry-specific solutions and promote Caterpillar Worktools and Technology.
Sales Tools - Training and Development: Utilize and promote available tools to support features and benefits, adding value to the customer. Ensure adoption through close collaboration with Sales Managers and extended teams.
Sales and Marketing Excellence: Drive multi-channel sales strategies, shape compelling value propositions, and collaborate with Caterpillar to execute business plans.
Market Value Propositions: Challenge and support sales teams in delivering sales targets through coaching, customer events, and face-to-face visits. Develop and share trends, data, and insights to support strategic value propositions and go-to-market plans.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
Proven experience in product management, sales, and marketing within the construction industry.
Strong analytical skills, excellent communication and presentation abilities, and proficiency in data analysis tools and CRM systems.
In-depth understanding of market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape. Familiarity with Caterpillar products and technologies is a plus.
Strategic thinker, proactive, collaborative, and able to drive initiatives across multiple departments.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
