Product Designer

JDKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

You know the user-centred or goal-based product design process from top to bottom.

Experience designing digital products and systems, not websites. You have helped ship products that solve real problems, and that people use.

Contribute to high-level strategic decisions with the rest of the product and executive teams

Design and facilitate discovery workshops (eg Design Sprints/customer journey mapping)

You have great design and presentation abilities

Comfortable doing what needs to be done: Concepting/pitching/wireframing/user flows/prototyping/user testing/etc.

An appreciation of the entire product development process, from problem-solving and system modelling, through to detailed UI, visual, and interaction design.

Tools, you can with Sketch, Adobe product etc. (just pick the right tools for the job)

You can create user experiences that can be mapped directly to the business and user requirements of the project as well as clearly communicate the UX strategy

You understand that great design involves users and user testing.

Your design is well thought out, purposeful and has intent

You have experience planning and executing both redesigns as well as new-concept design projects, from start to finish

You have worked with design systems & kits

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

5+ years of professional UX/Product design experience

Inherent curiosity about how humans think, behave, and interact with technology

Very strong communication skills, both written and oral, with a natural ability to articulate and defend design decisions, and run work sessions

Successful experience working collaboratively with Engineering, Product Management, and UX Research

Experience in building and shipping applications or software

Demonstrated experience with end-to-end (hybrid UX and UI) product design

A strong desire to always be learning and tackling new challenges in a fast-paced environment
