Job Description

Procurement Team Leader/Supply Management; Material Requirements Planning ERP/SAP English AND (French or Flemish). Permanent job (NOT freelance/contract), Brussels/Belgium.

Mission and Responsibilities
The primary mission of this position is to ensure effective supply management by optimizing material flows and guaranteeing the availability of components for production. This includes coordinating and supervising a team of Procurement Officers while ensuring compliance with quality standards and contractual commitments with suppliers. The goal is to continuously improve processes, reduce costs, and minimize risks while fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
MUST HAVE
Supply Management; Material Requirements Planning - Procurement

1. Supply Management
* Manage a team of 10 Procurement Officers spread across Brussels (7) and Casablanca (3), ensuring their coordination and skills development.
* Oversee suppliers' operational performance (order execution, adherence to delivery deadlines, product quality).
* Coordinate supply flows according to production needs and stock constraints.
* Work closely with Planning, Logistics, Quality, and Purchasing teams to ensure a smooth supply process.
* Optimize stock levels and reduce costs related to supply.
* Ensure proper application of internal procedures and compliance with contractual commitments defined by the Purchasing/Sourcing department.
* Anticipate and analyze raw material and component needs based on production forecasts.
* Establish performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure regular reporting to management.

2. Supplier Monitoring and Continuous Improvement
* Evaluate supplier performance (delivery times, quality, reliability) and implement corrective actions if necessary.
* Lead continuous improvement and digitalization projects for procurement processes.
* Identify and mitigate risks related to the supply chain (disruptions, supplier failures, financial impact).

3. Leadership and Team Management
* Ensure continuous learning and development of the team.
* Guide and support Procurement teams on both operational and strategic aspects.
* Coordinate and facilitate communication between local and offshore teams.
* Develop team skills through coaching, training, and performance monitoring.
* Regularly update and maintain competency matrices to enhance collaboration and continuous professional development.
* Delegate tasks and set deadlines for the Procurement team, encourage creativity and risk-taking, and recognize high performance by valuing achievements.

4. Additional Responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance with EN9100 quality standards and the ISO 14001 environmental standard.

We are experts in designing, manufacturing, maintaining, and upgrading large and complex elements for aircraft and space launchers.
In Brussels, we have our Structural and Mechatronics Engineering offices, where all our new programs begin and our workshops are equipped with modern machines that produce complex metallic assemblies for aircraft and space launchers as well as advanced Thrust Vectoring Systems for space launchers.
Desired Profile
Education: Engineer or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management, or equivalent through experience.

Experience: Proven experience in supply management and team leadership in an industrial environment.

Technical Skills:
* Proficiency in an ERP system, ideally SAP.
* Strong knowledge of data analysis and reporting (Excel, Power BI, etc.).
* Familiarity with stock optimization methods and process improvement.
* Excellent understanding of MRP system functionality.
Material Requirements Planning. It's a system used primarily in manufacturing and production planning to ensure the right materials are available at the right time for production, while keeping inventory levels low.
Core Functionality of an MRP System:
1. Inventory Management
* Tracks current stock levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
* Helps avoid overstocking or stockouts.
1. Bill of Materials (BOM) Processing
* Uses a detailed list of materials and components needed to manufacture a product.
* Helps calculate total material requirements based on production needs.
1. Demand Forecasting
* Analyzes current and projected demand to determine future material needs.
* Aligns production schedules with customer orders or forecasts.
1. Production Planning and Scheduling
* Plans when and how much of each product should be manufactured.
* Allocates resources, labor, and machine time efficiently.
1. Procurement Management
* Determines what materials need to be purchased and when.
* Automatically generates purchase orders for suppliers.
1. Lead Time Management
* Accounts for the time it takes to get materials delivered or products made.
* Ensures materials are ordered early enough to meet production timelines.
1. Capacity Planning (in more advanced MRP/ERP systems)
* Assesses if production facilities have the capacity to meet the schedule.
* Helps balance workloads across machines and labour.
1. Cost Estimation and Control
* Provides cost estimates for production runs.
* Helps manage budgets by identifying cost-saving opportunities.
