Procurement Manager - Fresh Produce

A fantastic opportunity has become available with a successful Fresh Produce specialist, in a key role as Procurement Manager / Buyer. This position offers the opportunity to join a successful and driven team.

Working as part of an energetic and personable team, the position of Procurement Manager / Buyer will work alongside a counterpart and will become a fundamental member of the buying and commercial team.

Key responsibilities;

Procurement of Fresh Produce, across a variety of Fresh produce categories

Planning & management of stock, to ensure volumes are met

Liaising with all parties to ensure product quality is achieved

Managing successful & positive Supplier relationships

Negotiating prices, meeting financial KPI's

Liaising with key retail customers

Requirements;

Experience gained in a Buying / Procurement / Commercial role within Fresh Produce

Professional and confident, with the ability to communicate at all levels

An understanding of the Fresh Produce Supply Chain

Numerically minded and confident working with data

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft systems

This role requires a passionate, organised and pro-active individual, confident in a fast-paced & demanding environment, with the ability to meet deadlines and tight timescales.
