Procurement Intern (Sourcing) - 12 months, starting April 2026

Location:

Stonehouse, Gloucestershire

Description & Scope:

• Implements sourcing plans/tactics to manage sourcing activities related to assigned project portfolio
• Provides sourcing and procurement support, ensuring parts are sourced in a cost effective and timely manner from suitable vendors.
• Works with assigned project teams to meet critical project timelines, prioritizing work and communicating progress in cadence reviews/through tracking mechanisms.
• Defines part & assembly parameters for systematic Purchase Order release.
• Assesses supplier capabilities and makes recommendations for new supplier onboarding.
• Understands strategies for assigned commodities & proactively drives initiatives to meet departmental objectives.

Responsibilities: Order Management

• Process purchase orders and sales orders accurately in ERP systems
• Track order status and ensure timely delivery
• Update system when dates have been moved

Sourcing Support

• Follow up on request for quote (RFQ) packages
• Ensure accurate documentation, send additional documentation as necessary
• Communicate with suppliers regarding lead times, deliveries, and order confirmations
• Resolve discrepancies in invoices or shipments

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Operations, Business Economics or a related discipline
• Process and quality improvement driven
• Experience with data management and control principles
• Proficient in MS Office applications, SAP (favourable) or other ERP system
• Negotiation and decision making skills
