Job Description

We're looking for an Outsourcing & Procurement Manager to help us build simple, effective, and well governed supplier relationships that really work for us and our customers.

You'll lead a diverse, capable team and take ownership of procurement and outsourcing activity end to end, from shaping tenders and negotiations, through to ongoing supplier oversight and governance. Your job is to make sure we get great outcomes, good value for money, and suppliers who do what they say they'll do.

This role sits in our Outsourcing, Procurement and Legal Services team, and you'll work closely with colleagues across the business to make outsourcing feel like an enabler, not a blocker.

What you'll be doing
  • Leading and developing a procurement and outsourcing team, including coaching people, growing capability, and creating an environment where people can do their best work.
  • Running buyer side tenders and negotiations, and helping the business make well judged, commercial decisions.
  • Overseeing our claims supplier audit function, to make sure our suppliers are meeting their promises and giving great customer outcomes.
  • Building strong, transparent relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Owning ongoing supplier due diligence and oversight, and making sure governance is proportionate, pragmatic, and actually useful.
  • Driving improvements to how we do procurement and outsourcing, including challenging processes that don't work and designing better ones.
  • Using data and insight to improve efficiency, performance, and outcomes.
  • Making sure our outsourcing activity meets the expectations of the financial services regulatory environment.

You don't need to tick every box, but we'd expect you to have many of these:

  • Proficiency for data - you can identify and implement efficient ways of ingesting data from our suppliers and using it to make better decisions.
  • Experience leading a team and helping people develop their skills and confidence.
  • Hands on experience running tenders and supplier negotiations on the buyer side.
  • A track record of delivering change in established teams or processes.
  • Strong communication skills, you can explain complex things clearly and build trust with a wide range of people.
  • A pragmatic, risk aware mindset, especially in regulated environments.
  • An understanding of outsourcing in financial services, including material outsourcing requirements.
How we work

We care about doing things well, not just quickly. That means being thoughtful, collaborative, and clear, especially when we're dealing with risk, regulation, or complex supplier relationships. We believe good procurement empowers teams to move faster and make better decisions. You'll have the space to challenge, improve, and shape how things are done.

What we offer
  • 27 days holiday with the option to buy up to a further 5 days
  • Company pension scheme with the option to increase contributions
  • Group Income Protection for all employees
  • Group Legal Protection for all employees
  • Private Medical Insurance
  • European Motor Assistance
  • Home Emergency Assistance
  • Salary sacrifice benefits, including cycle scheme

Whilst this is a full time position, we want to support our employees to achieve a work life balance that works for them and are happy to discuss flexible working options.

We welcome applications from everyone, regardless of background, identity, or experience. If you're excited about the role but not sure you meet every requirement, we'd still love to hear from you.
