Procurement Administrator - Athlone
Dornan Engineering is a well established and leading Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation and HVAC engineering and construction company, with major project experience across a wide range of sectors in Ireland, Europe and the UK. Dornan are involved in projects across many sectors such as Pharmaceutical, Power, Waste to Energy, Commercial, Data Centre and Petrochemical. Due to the continuous growth with Dornan Engineering, we are currently looking to recruit an experienced Procurement Administrator to join the company on exciting project. You will join Dornan's hard working and ambitious project teams and you will benefit from a supportive culture, where your ideas and contributions will be recognised.
At Dornan we are currently recruiting a Procurement Administrator to work on a pharmaceutical project in the Athlone.
Your day to day will include:- Manage day-to-day procurement activities and support procurement processes.
- Liaise with suppliers, internal stakeholders and key business partners.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation and reporting
- Support supplier management, tendering and purchasing activities.
- Ensure procurement activities are efficient, compliant and aligned with company policies.
- Reconcile quantities with supervisors and vendors
- Receive materials, plant hire and ensure storage is secure
- Adhere to Quality management systems and ensure appropriate document control
- Physical Inventory Control and verification on the usage of the material
- Propose and dispose surplus/ scrap material at facility location as per Company procedures
- Prepare, monitor and update Material Tracking Schedule
- Closely work with Planning Engineer to ensure materials are available as per the plan
- Coordinate with Material Manager and Procurement Department for providing details for Material Submittal to obtain Client approval
- Planning with Procurement Department to minimise the inventory as agreed with Project Managerand prepare Monthly Materials Reports
- Expedite with Supplier for prompt delivery
- Toensure correct data is provided to Commercial Dept. for calculation of quantity and cost to complete budget items
- Previous experience in procurement administration role, ideally in construction or engineering industry
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and best practices.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent at building relationships at all levels in order to ensure flow of communication
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic document management systems.
