Probate Solicitor - Private Client Department
Salary: £30,000 - £50,000 per annum (pro rata), dependent on experience
Hours: Full-time, office-based
Benefits: Pension scheme, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
We are delighted to offer a rare opportunity to join a small but busy private client firm with an excellent local reputation and a long-established client base.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Probate Solicitor to join our Private Client department. The successful candidate will have solid experience in:
- Probate administration (priority)
- Wills
- Trusts
- Court of Protection work
This is a self-sufficient role, requiring strong technical knowledge across all aspects of Probate, including:
- Inheritance Tax matters
- Preparing and submitting applications for Grants of Probate/Letters of Administration
- Administering new and existing estates
- Drafting estate accounts
- Liaising closely with the Accounts Department regarding costs and billing
About You
You will be confident working independently, with excellent organisational and time-management skills. A high standard of client care is essential, along with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively with clients and external contacts. Confidentiality and secure handling of all documentation is paramount.
