Key Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 and small-group tuition in English and Mathematics (KS2, KS3, GCSE)
• Plan and prepare tailored lessons and schemes of work
• Conduct baseline assessments and regular progress reviews
• Design, invigilate, and mark assessments (mock exams, timed exercises)
• Provide clear feedback to students and parents on progress and next steps
• Promote effective study habits, confidence, and independent learning
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, lesson content, assessments, and communications
• Uphold safeguarding, health and safety, and data protection requirements
• Contribute to a positive and structured learning environment

Candidate Requirements

Essential:

• Strong subject knowledge in English and Mathematics
• Ability to explain concepts clearly to learners of varying abilities
• Experience assessing student performance and delivering targeted support
• Ability to prepare lesson plans, reports, and assessment materials
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational skills and accurate record-keeping
