Private Equity Associate (2-4 PQE)
We are working with a highly regarded Transatlantic law firm seeking a talented Private Equity Associate to join their London office. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious lawyer to join a market leading team advising on high profile transactions across the UK, US and international markets.
The firm is looking for a technically strong and commercially minded Associate with 2-4 years' PQE to play a key role in complex private equity transactions, working closely with leading partners and an international client base.
The Firm
The Private Equity Associate will join a globally recognised Transatlantic law firm with a strong reputation for advising private equity sponsors, portfolio companies and management teams on sophisticated cross border transactions.
With offices across the UK, US and key international markets, the firm is known for its collaborative culture, high quality deal flow and close client relationships. The London office works closely with US colleagues on major transactions, providing Associates with exposure to complex, international private equity work.

This is a full time position based in the firm's London office.
The Role
The Private Equity team advises private equity sponsors, growth investors and portfolio companies on a broad range of corporate transactions across a variety of sectors.
The successful Associate will be involved in transactions from initial structuring through to completion, gaining hands on experience in high value, complex deals.
The role will include:

Advising private equity sponsors and investors on acquisitions, disposals and investments

Acting on leveraged buyouts, growth capital investments and portfolio company transactions

Drafting and negotiating key transaction documents including SPAs, investment agreements and shareholder agreements

Managing due diligence processes and coordinating with specialist teams

Liaising with clients, management teams and international colleagues across jurisdictions

Supporting partners on complex cross border transactions

Supervising trainees and junior lawyers where appropriate
The Private Equity Associate
You will be a motivated and commercially aware Associate looking to develop your career within a leading international private equity practice.
The Private Equity Associate will have:

2-4 years' PQE within a recognised corporate or private equity team

Experience advising on private equity transactions, M&A or corporate investments

Strong drafting and negotiation skills

Excellent academic background and technical legal ability

Confidence working directly with clients and senior lawyers

Ability to manage multiple workstreams within fast paced transactions

Experience gained at a leading UK, US or international law firm is preferred
