Private Client Solicitor (Care & Capacity), 2+ Years PQE, Devon, £65,000+ (DOE) - This is an opportunity for someone who wants their legal expertise to have a genuine impact on people and families at some of the most challenging points in their lives. REF:5378
THE ROLE:
• You will work with vulnerable clients and their families, providing clear, compassionate advice while handling often complex matters involving mental capacity, care and the Court of Protection.
• You will take responsibility for a varied caseload, advising clients and their families and guiding them through sensitive legal issues with professionalism and empathy.
• Responsible for a varied caseload to include, mental capacity and related private client issues, lasting Powers of Attorney and Deputyship applications, Court of Protection applications and proceedings and financial and property matters involving vulnerable clients
• Trusted to manage your own matters while working closely with colleagues and external professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes for your clients.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Applications are sought from Solicitors or Legal Executives with a background in private client work and a particular interest in care, capacity and Court of Protection matters.
• Strong experience in care and capacity work
• Experience of Court of Protection matters
• Excellent client-care and communication skills
• A calm, empathetic approach when dealing with vulnerable clients and their families
• Strong organisation and attention to detail
